Race
Info:
The
epic trail of Council Bluff Lake is your battleground! With approx 13 miles of
singletrack, Council Bluff offers a rollercoaster of all that Missouri mountain
biking has to offer. The trail follows the contour of a picturesque lake and
offers no short cuts or bail-out roads. Be prepared: hiking many miles with a
mechanical or flat is never fun! As it is an endurance race, each team will
have a lap or two which may require a lighting system. All 12 hour race teams
are required to have one set of bike lights and a secondary source of lighting
(i.e., flashlight, cateye, petzel). Lights will need to be with any rider
heading out for a lap 1.5 hours(5:30) before official sunset(7:00) and every
lap thereafter.
Directions
from Mesa Cycles / St. Louis City:
Hwy
40 West to I-270 South to Tesson Ferry exit, Southbound. Tesson Ferry turns
into Hwy 21. Proceed on Hwy 21 to Potosi, MO. Once in Potosi travel approx 13
miles on Hwy P. Make a right on Hwy C for only approx a 1/4 mile. Turn left
onto Hwy DD and continue approx 7 miles to the park entrance. Turn left at park
entrance and follow the paved access road.

PARTICIPANT
TIMING TAG USAGE AGREEMENT:
ìI agree
to return the the timing chip to the timing station or appropriate race
official after the race. If I fail to do so, I agree to pay $100 to replace the
chip.
Ultramax
Timing Transponder Instructions:
Today’s
race will be timed using a chip timing transponder, commonly called “the chip”.
Please follow these simple instructions carefully. Not wearing or installing
the transponder properly may prevent you from being timed. Transponders are unique serial numbers and
are non-transferable! Be careful not to switch with other participants. The chip must be on your ankle at all times
or you will not be scored in the event.
The strap and chip must be transfered to each team mate. Anytime you are
racing on the course you or your team members MUST be wearing the chip and
strap. ïFailure to do so will result in
no finish time. Report to the timing team to have the chip removed once you finish
your event. If you find you still have timing chip after the race, please put
it in a padded envelope and mail to:
Ultramax
Events
2902
Forum Blvd Suite 103
Columbia,
MO 65203
Failure to
return a chip will result in disqualification from all events timed by Ultramax
Events and may prevent your participation in future cycling events. Lost
Transponder/Tags/Tags: The transponder/tag tags we use are sophisticated
electronic devices and any lost inventory will need to be replaced. The chips
are very expensive to replace. Ultimately, the race organization is responsible
for the replacement cost of any lost timing tags. We will take several
precautions to ensure the retrieval of all of our timing tags. All tags will be
recorded as they are turned in so we can generate a list of participants who
have not returned their timing tag and an announcement can be made. Generally,
the fee for a lost tag is passed on to the participant by race organizers. The
race organization is ultimately responsible for returning all transponder/tags
or paying for missing transponder/tags within three weeks after the completion
of the race. Any lost tags will be invoiced at $100 each.
I further
agree to abide by all the rules and regulations as set forth by the director of
this event. I hereby certify that I have read this document and understand its
content (no faxed or photocopied signatures)
